Use
- For use by trained medical, dental, and surgical professionals only.
- Inspect every instrument before use. Do not use an instrument that is bent, cracked, or damaged, or whose joints or tips do not align properly.
- Unless stated otherwise on the product page, instruments are supplied non-sterile. Clean and sterilize them before first use.
- Use each instrument only for its intended purpose. Do not use it as a lever, chisel, or screwdriver.
Cleaning & Care
- Rinse instruments immediately after use to remove blood and debris. Do not allow them to dry with residue on the surface.
- Clean with a neutral pH detergent or enzymatic cleaner, using a soft brush or an ultrasonic cleaner. Avoid steel wool and abrasive pads.
- Avoid prolonged contact with saline, chlorine, bleach, or other harsh chemicals, as they can cause pitting and corrosion.
- Rinse thoroughly with distilled or demineralized water and dry completely before sterilizing or storing.
- Lubricate hinges and moving parts regularly with a water-soluble instrument lubricant.
Sterilization & Storage
- Sterilize by steam autoclave following your facility's validated protocol and the sterilizer manufacturer's instructions.
- Open hinged instruments (scissors, forceps, clamps) before sterilizing so steam can reach all surfaces.
- Do not mix stainless steel instruments with carbon steel or other metals during cleaning or sterilization.
- Store in a clean, dry place away from moisture and corrosive substances. Keep out of reach of children.
